Guiding Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy is an officially recognized national academic journal (ISSN 1672-951X, CN 43-1446/R) that mainly publishes and disseminates scholarly papers in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The journal is included in the China Science and Technology Paper Statistical Source Journal, China Science and Technology Core Journal, Series of Journals of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, T2-Level Chinese Scientific and Technical Journals in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Academic Journal Evaluation Database, and has been recognized as both a First-Class Journal of Hunan Province and an Outstanding Publication of Hunan Province.

This journal has columns such as overseas traditional Chinese medicine, intelligent traditional Chinese medicine, oncology, theory, viewpoint, experiment, traditional Chinese medica, investigation, clinical practice, regularity, acupuncture and tuina, analysis, medical cases, review, education, diagnosis, medical history, constitution, management, culture, ethnic medicine, schools, nursing, translation, medical care, and preventive treatment of diseases. Submissions are warmly welcomed.

Submission Requirements:

1.    The title should be concise and highlight the key point, generally within 25 Chinese characters. Subtitles are not recommended. Nonstandard abbreviations should be avoided whenever possible.

2.    Manuscripts should have clear arguments, sufficient evidence, sound design, logical structure, authentic data, accurate statistics, and concise language, demonstrating scientific rigor, innovation, practicality, logic, and readability.

3.    Submissions should include a Letter of Submission and Copyright Transfer Agreement (available for download on the journal website) stamped with the institutional seal (submission can be completed first; the stamped document may be provided later). Articles on famous physicians’ clinical experience must be signed by the physician to authorize publication. Papers involving research projects must attach a copy of the project approval document (main content and stamped final page) to confirm the project’s relevance to the authors and the paper. Electronic copies of these documents are sufficient. Authors are fully responsible for any falsification, plagiarism, or data fabrication.

4.    Both Chinese and English abstracts are required. Structured abstracts should include Objective, Methods, Results (with key data indicated), and Conclusion, followed by 3–8 keywords.

5.    All measurement units in the paper must comply with national legal standards. Tables should be formatted as three-line tables, be self-explanatory, and avoid duplication of information already described in the text. Statistical analyses should clearly specify the statistical methods and values used, and figures, as well as the data presented within them, must be clear and legible.

6.    References should follow the numerical citation system and be cited in the text. Quotations from classical medical texts or scholars’ viewpoints must also be referenced. Reference formats should follow the national standard GB/T 7714–2015 (Rules for Bibliographic References). Examples include:

7.    Below the title, indicate author names, affiliations, and postal codes. At the end of the paper, include brief (≤100 words) biographical notes for the first and corresponding authors, with telephone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses. All listed authors must have read and agreed to the submission and publication of the paper, and share responsibility for its content. Author names and affiliations cannot be changed after submission.

8.    The editorial office reserves the right to revise or edit manuscripts; authors with objections should make a special statement.

9.    Please register and submit online at www.zyydb.com. A review fee of 100 RMB per manuscript is required.

10.  If no acceptance notice is received within three months, authors may submit the paper elsewhere. Manuscripts will not be returned, so please keep a copy. Duplicate submissions are strictly prohibited.

11.  The review fee is 100 RMB per manuscript. The page charge is 500 RMB per 1,000 characters. For expedited publication, an additional fee will be charged: 1,000 RMB for advancing by one issue, and 2,000 RMB for advancing by two or more issues. No other fees are collected.
